Create an Edge Flange on a Curved Planar Edge
SolidWorks 2007 now allows you to add an edge flange on curved planar edges. Single curved edges, multiple tangent edges, cylindrical edges, and lofted edges on parts can now be used easily to create an edge flange. First, create a new part in SolidWorks 2007. Create a base flange and select the Top plane when prompted to select a plane on which to sketch the feature cross section. Create any size circle centered on the origin, and then, exit the sketch. Set the Thickness of the base flange and click OK.
