Add Your Personal Touch to SolidWorks - Part 1
One way to add your personal touch is using an image file as the SolidWorks background. You may want to use a picture of your family, favorite car, vacation place, or company logo.

To do this, click the Options button in the “Standard” toolbar, or pull down the “Tools” menu and pick Options.

In the System Options dialog box, on the System Options tab, click Colors. Under Background appearance, pick the Image file radio button.

Then, click the button next to the image file name box to browse for an image file, as shown in Figure 1. Just like the ability to change the Windows desktop background, SolidWorks lets you use any image file formats that you have.

SolidWorks supplies some sample images to choose from in the background folder,
<SolidWorks Install Directory>/data/images/textures/background. Shown in Figure 2 is studio2.jpg. Once a file is selected, click OK.
